I once saw the strangest thing…
Even now, the image is frozen in my mind. Such a child, running and crying after a full grown man, and the same running child catching a half of a couple’s eye. Frozen to the park bench, I just stared as a premonition unfolded. Why would a mere, lovely teenage girl be running after a man twice her age? Moreso, why would a mere boy turn and stare at the girl while holding another in his arms? The future was obvious. Can you see it?
So, you hate me.
Maybe I regret that I said what I said.
But even if I do, I can’t let myself dwell on it.
Everyone comes and goes, in another year you’ll just be another distant memory. I hope.

Hopelessly You
I can’t help it. The second I see you, I fall in love again. I don’t love you because you’re like Him, or because you’re everything I want in a man. I love you because you’re so hopelessly you, so flawed, so damn lovable, that I couldn’t possibly leave you alone, even if I wanted to.
